You want to finally be successful with your business? Follow in the footsteps of successful entrepreneurs and realize yourself? But what is necessary for this?
Some entrepreneurs swim at the top of the professional success wave, lead a happy private life and - to fulfil all clichés - are also real high-flyers in sport.
Everything seems to go smoothly for them. Always. You ask yourself why this is and what distinguishes these people from "normal people".
What makes successful people?
Well, the most successful people are not always the ones with the most talent or the most sought-after skills. Nor are they the ones with the best contacts, and certainly not the ones with the most start-up capital.
Successful people are characterized by their strong will! They are full of passion, don't let anything throw them off track and fight for their dreams.
In this context, it is important to know: Success happens in the head! This means: In order for you to be successful, you need to have the right mindset dispose
How you develop this, we would like to tell you in this article. In total, we'll give you 12 tips on how to develop a successful mindset.
A strong will alone is not enough to be successful. It goes hand in hand with a positive mindset, an inner attitude and thus the mindset!
BeliefsBeliefs and attitudes are largely responsible for the success or failure of a person.
Or in other words: If you want to be especially successful - no matter in which field - the 12 following tips are made for you!
This is probably the most important rule of all for being successful! Because how could you ever really burn for something you only do half-heartedly?
But as soon as you develop a passion, the tide turns: Passion is a real success catapult! It maneuvers you to the top.
Of course, passion doesn't prevent things from getting tough sometimes. But when you're passionate, you can handle challenges more easily.
You stay on the ball, don't let it get you down. And that is a crucial point to be successful!
Steve Jobs commented...
"Your work will take up a large part of your life and will be the only way to truly being content Is that you believe you're doing great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do." - Steve Jobs
A vision, i.e. an overarching goal, is also an enormously strong success factor. It drives you on and keeps you going despite defeats.
She'll make sure your Motivation remains at a consistently high level over a long period of time. And it helps you develop stamina and always get back up when you fall.
Ask yourself why you want this one thing so badly: Why do you want to run a big department? Why do you want to run the marathon? Your why comes from within and is the reason you developed your vision.
Successful people remind themselves of their why from time to time, to keep reminding themselves why they started.
In this context, it should therefore always be kept in mind that defeats are part of the game. In the end, however, it is the defeats that make a real winner.
Basketball legend Michael Jordan commented:
"I've missed more than 9,000 pitches in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I was entrusted with the buzzer beater and I missed. I've failed over and over again in my life. And that's the reason I win." - Michael Jordan
As long as you follow others' goals without making them your own, you won't be half as successful as you could be.
The reason is simple: if you're not actually that excited about the idea of becoming a department head, but your boss would like you to be in the position, then you're guaranteed not to give 100 percent. So find outwhat your own true goals are! Are they compatible with your values like respect, appreciation, authentic communication or mindfulness?
Successful people therefore do not follow externally determined goals, but always seek their own. They have their own inner compass that gives them orientation in their private and professional lives.
This increases the Motivation enormous, because it comes from within yourself, from your inner self. Try it and you will see how successful you can be!
This way, you will be able to maneuver through difficult times that you will have to deal with sooner or later as an entrepreneur.
You've probably heard of the idea of writing down your goals and visions on a Visionboard to visualize.
If you really want to be successful, this is a fabulous idea! A vision board strengthens your mindset enormously, because it shows you every day what you want to achieve - and why.
Words and images make dreams tangible.
Suddenly they no longer exist only in your thoughts, but are more binding. A vision board is quickly created, so get started right away!
In the following interview between Alex Müller (the CEO of Greator) and the speaker Tobias Beck you will learn, among other things, how a vision board is structured and how you can use it for your success.
If you want to be successful, you have to acquire certain characteristics: Courage, discipline and perseverance, for example.
But you could also look at it the other way around. Then you don't have to acquire anything, but simply leave something out - fear, for example, Uncertainty and volatility.
Leave behind the traits that slow you down and get in the way of your success. Instead, focus on the positive ones!
Successful people constantly work on themselves, they learn and grow beyond themselves. And they are willing to take risks.
Of course, there is no guarantee that everything will go smoothly. But what is there for in life? If you are aware of this, you are well on your way to acquiring the right mindset to succeed.
And if you find it hard to shake off your anxiety every now and then, clear your head with a little meditation.
If you are not practiced with meditations yet, that's no problem either. Here we have a small Meditation prepared to copy.
Just close your eyes and try it out:
Your social environment is partly responsible for your attitudes and your actions. Surrounding yourself with successful people who, at best, have already achieved what you still dream of, gives you a real motivational boost!
In other words, surround yourself with like-minded people!
With people who inspire you, give you support and share their experiences with you. Success does not rub off, but a positive attitude and a success-oriented mindset but they're contagious.
Conversely, this means that if you constantly surround yourself with people who think negatively, then you too will think negatively.
And that, in turn, affects your performance and the achievement of your goals.
Many people leave their comfort zone extremely reluctantly. No wonder, because habits are comfortable, while new situations and challenges are exhausting.
But again, your attitude makes all the difference: if you want to be successful, you can't view effort as annoying and or even threatening.
Because only through them will you move forward. Instead, see efforts as opportunities and you will see how much easier it is for you to take on new challenges.
On top of that, as an entrepreneur, self-employed person or executive, it will always be a feat to push your business to the next level.
Successful people know that it's more about effort than skill. You can't always be the fastest or the smartest.
But you can always give it your all!
Take the job interview, for example: The first applicant may be highly competent. But he is not properly prepared and only half-hearted in the matter.
The second applicant, on the other hand, is not a technical genius, but gives everything. He wants the job at all costs and really puts his back into it.
Who do you think the boss will choose? Those who recognize this and focus on their commitment have a good chance of becoming successful.
Are you also one of those perfectionists who only finish a task when they are 100 percent satisfied? And only start a new task when they feel one hundred percent prepared?
If you really want to be successful, you should forget about perfection! Not completely, of course - there's no harm in aiming for the upper limit.
But don't let yourself miss the start because you're too busy preparing. Be satisfied with 90 percent once in a while.
That's still a great accomplishment and you'll see how much more successful you are when you don't fall into the perfection trap.
Often we use perfection because we are afraid of making mistakes. But as you have already learned in this article, mistakes are part of it.
With this in mind, throw your perfection overboard and get your business on the road. You'll be thrilled how much faster everything goes when you don't obsess over every little thing right away.
When it comes to dealing with defeat, the camps split into two halves. On the one hand, there are those who let defeats weaken them, lose heart and give up.
And on the other hand, there are those who see defeat as a challenge.
This is exactly the secret recipe of successful people: They do not regard defeats as failures, but feel really spurred on by a defeat. They use their chance to do better next time.
They know: Often it's the defeats that push them on in the end and make them rise above themselves.
Which 5 characteristics are particularly important for successful entrepreneurs, we have already discussed in another article. You can find this article HERE.
Now it's up to you to write your own success story. If you take the first step now and stay disciplined, then nothing will stand in the way of your success.
And if you ever doubt, remember: positive thoughts promote your success, negative ones stop it. Whenever success is waiting in the wings, change your thoughts. You'll see how well that works!
Many entrepreneurs and managers try to be experts in all things. The shot usually always backfires.
Therefore, you should concentrate on one area of responsibility. You should then become an expert in this area.
For all other tasks, it makes sense to bring in people who can do it better than you.
At the end of the day, that's the whole point of hiring people. They can do things better than you and carry your vision forward.
Remember: As an entrepreneur, you are not the center of the world. Your employees are the foundation of your success.
People who have an innovative idea and want to make it great are often ridiculed.
In the beginning, for example, no one believed in the dreams of Steve Jobs. And although that is the case, today everyone has a smartphone in their host pocket.
And that's where we have Steve Jobs' attitude to thank for not listening to all the NO's on the planet.
He had a dream, and he held on to it. Same goes for you. If you have a dream, then hold on to it.
Don't allow the noise of other opinions. Because that noise will cause you to lose the focus you need to make your Achieving goals.
