Dieter Lange: How to become the creator of your heroic story

Dieter Lange knows that there is actually only one challenge in the world, and that is the principle of separation. In the interview, he says: "We no longer feel one with God or the universe. As a result, many people have forgotten that we are actually all one. But we have to learn to be one with each other again. Because that is the highest of all feelings. When we Feelings of happiness of deepest, innermost fulfillment, we experience no ego."

It is hard to imagine that we are all one - one with terrible events, crimes and wars that exist in the world. One with politicians, rulers, rulers and promoting this state. But there is an explanation for this too: the demons we don't want to see in us, we project into others inside. Dieter Lange: explains: "These are our great teachers. Those with whom we are inwardly in opposition are our masters. Because we are not reconciled with these people. People you don't like trigger something in you because they do what you yourself suppress in you. We make it easy for ourselves by rejecting these people. But their behavior is also deep within us. When powerful politicians trigger us, deep down we want to be rulers ourselves."

Dieter Lange: "Take the hero's journey of your life".

For Dieter Lange, self-actualization is about achieving an overriding Find purpose for your life and to pursue it. He explains, "What question do you want to be the answer to? What contribution do you want to make to a world in which you want to live? Giving is more blessed than taking. We always take more pleasure in giving than in receiving. The self is the given with which we were born. The great journey of life leads from loss back to the Self-discovery. Because every hero's journey is ultimately about finding your way back to yourself."

Every journey in life therefore also has only one goal: to arrive at oneself. Because we always go home - and that is self-realization. What self-realization is not, however, are ego trips. If you are a master in one discipline, you have to become a disciple in another. The journey to ourselves is the great journey of life. Dieter Lange: "In life you always arrive where you have always been. You only lose yourself and have to take this detour. As a child you act unconsciously, then you lose yourself in the world and hopefully find your way back to yourself in the end. This closes the circle.

Dieter Lange: "Picture moments of monotony".

According to the expert, this works best by condensing moments in which you are one with yourself. Moments when there is no tension. Dieter Lange: "Our mind lives on tension. We eagerly pursue goals, which virtually means nothing other than: Where I am right now is not good enough. We adults are completely programmed in life to achieve goals. Children, on the other hand, enjoy whatever they are doing. They live in the moment. What's the solution? We need to take the tension out and create monotonous moments. That's how you feel real happiness."

If you want to be completely with yourself, you need peace and monotony. For happiness is when the body is free from pain and the mind without confusion. Dieter Lange: "You are the sky, but you are not the cloud of your thoughts." So we need much more calmness in life, because in calmness there is power. However, most of us find this extremely difficult because we have endless goals and fear missing out. Dieter Lange explains, "When you retreat into yourself, you face a deep, inner emptiness. Many can't stand that without being flooded by countless thoughts. But the more these thoughts subside, the more comfortable one feels. That is why begins Meditation always with monotony."

The roof of your temple

Life is about letting go and going through cycles. But how do you find the right balance when you want to reinvent yourself but stay true to yourself at the same time? Dieter Lange: "When people are confronted with an end, they have to go through five stages: shock, resistance, grief, Acceptance and creativity. This is the case with all change processes. Change is a qualitative element. changes trigger insecurities, but enduring this process is insanely important. And then you get creative."

In addition, the North Star, i.e. the overarching meaning, remains the same. In the interview, Dieter Lange gives an exciting example: "Imagine the whole thing like a temple: The pillars are the measurable goals. They define the how. Above the pillars is a beam that holds these pillars together. It defines the what. And then the temple has a roof. This defines the why, which is the question of context."

law of polarity

Dieter Lange herself is currently working on the topic of Presence Awareness, a kind of equanimity that promotes arrival. It's about feeling total presence in every moment. He explains, "Cheerful and playful Serenity - that is the way. Everything is perfect as it is. You have to understand that polarity is always this and that. There is never happiness without suffering, there is never day without night. Nothing is separate. When you succeed in refraining from the constant addition of meaning, then you are completely with yourself and in your self-realization."
