Gratitude: Appreciate what you have already created

If you're honest with yourself, how often do you find yourself listing all the things you haven't accomplished yet? How would it be to remind yourself more often of the happiness you have already accumulated in your life? To recognize and appreciate all that you have already created! And to learn to feel a deep gratitude for it. We are happy to help you with this.

Gratitude as the key to inner peace

We also love to take you by the hand to accept gratitude more and more as a magic ingredient, as a key, for your inner peace. Because gratitude creates in us the strongest magnet for our future. Because you can't just be grateful for all that you already have in your life. "We can also be just as grateful for all that we will draw into our lives as a matter of course in the future," Christina and Walter Hommelsheim reveal in their Book "Heart Over Head - The Simple Formula for a Happy Life".

Gratitude for health

Why does something always have to happen to us or important people in our lives for us to wake up? And everything else is just whining at a high level. We usually notice this after the fact. Once we are fit again, we forget to be grateful for our health.

Walter Hommelsheim: "Get out of survival mode!"

How about you open your mind to the following thought: You don't have to survive. Get out of survival mode. Because you get to experience! Rejoice in every moment. Feel the gratitude. "Energy always follows attention. That which we focus our attention we charge it with energy and thus manifest it more easily in our lives," says expert Walter Hommelsheim. "Every day we think eighty thousand thoughts. The joke of it is that we almost always think the same thoughts. We always reel off the same record. 

Gratitude as a new ritual

But if you start incorporating a new ritual into your life that always reminds you of what you have to be grateful for in your life, the flow of your thoughts will automatically change as well. It's up to you! You determine the direction of your life in every moment - consciously or unconsciously. This is especially true in times of crisis. You decide which step you will take next. Do you want to go further into the drama? Or do you consciously turn away from it and walk out?

Letting go and accepting the crisis

Being the victim is always very tempting. Because then you take on the role of not being able to do anything. "You can always back out. Give up your no. Let go and embrace the crisis. The more you dwell in the no, the more you unconsciously hold a door shut to a solution. Let go!" is the advice of experts Christina and Walter. The Let go By the way, the door works especially well when you practice gratitude. What have you achieved? What can you be proud of? 

Gratitude Exercise

In keeping with the theme, we have summarized three gratitude exercises for you. Maybe you can incorporate some of them as a new ritual into your everyday life.

  1. Make a list of your strengths: Think about your strengths that have already made you lucky. In this case, feel free to ask your friends or family for feedback.
  2. Every night before you go to bed, think about, "What can I be thankful for today?"
  3. Make a "to do" list of all the things you have already achieved and created in your life like high school graduation, job, travel, family....

Gratitude promotes the intensity of your vision

Gratitude is the greatest magnet for your desired future. When you look at your Vision of your future, feel and experience it as intensely as possible. At the same time your body reacts to it as if it were already in your life. And since you already have it in your life, you can also be grateful. This emotion-coctail of "is already here" and "gratitude" is powerful. Gratitude promotes intensity, doesn't let you step further out of your old self's sense of lack, and consciously creates a new self.
