Neale Donald Walsch: "I've had conversations with God."

Neale Donald Walsch is one of the world's best-known ambassadors for modern spirituality. The 76-year-old has written 37 different books that have been translated into countless languages. He created his best-known masterpiece with the best-selling trilogy "Conversations with God". In this interview, he shares his thoughts on God and life and reveals why life crises sometimes lead to unexpected success. We hope you enjoy reading it!

Neale Donald Walsch: "I was angry at God!"

When Neale Donald Walsch was 49 years old, he experienced a difficult time that would shape him forever and set his life on a completely new course. He reports: "All the components of my life fell apart. My relationship broke up, my career came to an abrupt end and my health deteriorated enormously. All of this happened at the same time. I was so angry at God, because I actually thought I had done everything right up to that point."

Would you like to take a little leap back in time? Neale Donald Walsch grew up in a Roman Catholic family. As a teenager, he toyed with the idea of becoming a priest. But when he held a Playboy magazine in his hands at the age of 17, he decided without further ado to change his mind. The Celibacy was out of the question for him and so his life story took a different course. Instead of becoming a Catholic priest, Neale Donald Walsch got a job in radio and worked for radio and television, among other things.

The absolute nadir by Neale Donald Walsch

In an interview, the world-famous bestselling author says: "But then my life completely fell apart for the reasons I mentioned earlier. In addition, I had a car accident that caused a broken neck. Most people die from a broken neck or become paralyzed. I was spared, but had to spend a long time rehabilitating and letting the injury heal. I wasn't able to return to a normal life until two years after my accident."

So after the failed relationship and the serious car accident, Neale Donald Walsch was left with no job and no income, but all the more angry at God. He reached his personal low point when he could no longer afford an apartment. In an interview, the 76-year-old reports: "I slept on the street and could only keep my head above water by begging. That's how I lived for a year. The good thing is that this way I learned that I don't need anything material to survive and be happy."

Conversations with God

Neale Donald Walsch got a sense of what really matters during this time. He says, "I developed a deep understanding of myself. I realized my true identity and the essence of who I am." With difficulty, after some time, Neale Donald Walsch landed a part-time job and was able to afford a tiny apartment. Yet he felt anger, sadness, and pain, for his life was not going at all as he had wished. And so it was that one night he woke up and wrote an angry letter to God. He wrote:

Dear God,

what do you have to do to live a life worth living? What have I done to deserve such an endlessly exhausting life? Please explain the rules. I want to play the game, but someone has to explain the rules to me. I need the rule book. And if you've explained the rules to me, please don't change them. Because I feel like the rules of the game of life are constantly changing.

Neale

And God answered him. In the interview, the bestselling author reports: "It was the first time I heard God's voice. It said, 'Neale, do you really want answers to these questions? Or do you just want to let out your anger? Because if you really want to know more, I can give you answers to these questions.' At first I thought I was crazy for hearing voices. But the next moment, I was overcome with a feeling of inner peace."

This is how Neale Donald Walsch received clear, powerful answers

Neale Donald Walsch sensed that something great was taking place. He sat down and began to write down answers - answers to questions he had asked himself moments before. The answers came to him and the divine voice began to sound like the voice of his own thoughts. In the interview, he reveals, "I wrote down everything that came to my mind. The answers led to new questions. And before I knew it, I was writing down more and more questions and answers."

Neale Donald Walsch wrote half the night. Then the process repeated itself: for the next three months, almost every night for several hours, he wrote down his questions and the divine answers he received from a higher power. The answers were clear, powerful, and left no doubt. At that time, Neale Donald Walsch could not have known that his conversations with God would later influence millions of people.
