Dr. Ruediger Dahlke: "Feature Therapy - How to Save Your Day!"

Reading time 4 minutes

Dr. Ruediger Dahlke is a medical doctor, successful speaker and bestselling author. He has published a whole series of books and has developed a clever secret to success as a writer: Whenever he receives a lot of questions about a specific topic, he writes a book about it. This seems to be a sure guarantee for the success of his books. His latest trick is feature film therapy. Find out why it can save a bad day and how it can improve your life in the long run in this magazine article!

Dr. Ruediger Dahlke: "Burn-out often arises from senselessness".

Let's start with a topic that is responsible for many bad days and seems to become more and more present in Germany - burn-out. How does it come about in the first place? Dr. Ruediger Dahlke knows that the illness doesn't have so much to do with the intensity of the work, but with something else entirely: "I know people who work incredibly hard. These people burn for their work and do not burn out in the process. However, if you consider your work pointless, it can quickly lead to burnout." The cause of Burnout seems to lie more in the meaninglessness of the work than in the workload.

For those affected, doing something all day that doesn't fulfill them is extremely distressing. "The question is, where can you start when someone goes to work without believing in his work? When he's totally frustrated?" Dr. Ruediger Dahlke sees the opportunity in the evening hours: "The idea is that we save the evening after work. Because we can decide about the evening ourselves. Even those who are already in a permanent state of frustration can save their bad day thanks to the evening off." Sounds pretty inviting, doesn't it?

Films for advanced learners

For that to happen, you first have to reclaim your free time. In other words, just hanging out in front of the TV doesn't help. Dr. Ruediger Dahlke knows: "It's proven to make you sick. Every hour of regular TV watching increases our chances of dementia." The problem, however, is that it's hard to motivate most people to take big steps. What works great, however, are small ones. Dr. Ruediger Dahlke: "So if you're already sitting in front of the TV anyway, you could start with good movies." And that brings us to Feature Film Therapy.

"There is a great treasure of very good films that are quite capable of touching our souls. If we watch good films and interpret them, they can broaden our horizons. We can see through our own roles better by the parts the actors play. We might even get behind the script and understand our own script better, our lives." So if you watched a good movie every night and delved into it, you could learn an enormous amount from it - and save a lot of bad days.

Dr. Ruediger Dahlke: "Soul Picture Worlds for the Night".

"In this way we could learn more about the great themes of life, the primal principles, the stages of life. You could choose films that fit each big theme of your life and learn along the way. Because learning makes you happy!" So imagine managing to reclaim your evenings via this path. Dr. Ruediger Dahlke also sees this as an optimal opportunity for the night: "If we focus on these Soul Picture Worlds it would also be an ideal preparation for the soul-picture worlds of the night. In this way, we could also reclaim the night!"

The logic is this: If you make yourself a pleasant evening, you can not only save the bad day, but also gain a pleasant night. If you add up the evening and the night, fifty percent of your time is already restful and worthwhile. There is even much more in it! Because after a pleasant night you start the new day much more awake and aware. You have more power and positive energy!

Opportunities through energy hype

After a pleasant, educational evening and a relaxing night, you have a real energy hype the next morning and morning. Imagine you regularly do this, drink a delicious smoothie for breakfast and manage to give yourself a pleasant lunch break - for example, by eating healthy food and going for a short walk. Then you also have the chance of a good workout in the second half of the working day. Energy hype.

Due to the positive mood, you are able to prepare a delicious, healthy meal in the evening or even perform a deep relaxation. This can give you a boost of energy once again. "Now it becomes life-changing!" is how Dr. Ruediger Dahlke describes the process. After all, many have one energy hype, but very few have three hypes at once. "If you do this systematically for a while, there are huge opportunities in there!" Huge opportunities and an uncanny potential for your everyday life and your life - triggered by the right movies in the evening!

From movie night to a positive life

As you can see, it's not that hard to save a bad day or to turn what feels like a bad day into a positive one! It all starts with one small step: moving away from an evening of trash TV and towards good movies. "By making a simple intervention like saving your evening, you can break the downward spiral and turn it into an upward one!"

Now it's your turn! Break the vicious circle and give your life a positive turn. Despite a supposedly boring working day, you are in control of your life. Start now! Find suitable films on topics that concern you and help you personally. Save the bad day, take positive soul image worlds with you into the night and start the next day with power and positive energy! We wish you every success.
