What guides me is a combination of attitude, clarity and a deep rootedness in positive psychology. My work is evidence-based - with tools that make change visible and support personal development in a measurable way: e.g. the Lying Eight method, The Work, strengths analyses, values work, life satisfaction indices or PERMA diagnostics. I believe in positive emotions as drivers of development. Coaching can be serious and professional, but not dogged - a real conversation at eye level can also be light, lively or surprising. If there isn't at least one smile in a session, then I feel there is a missing link.
