Maye Musk: "It's never too late to dream big!"

Maye Musk, a celebrated nutritionist, model and mother of famed entrepreneur Elon Musk, talks to Alexander Müller, CEO of Greator, about her extraordinary career and the challenges she faced as a single mother of three. Known for still shining on the world's catwalks at over 70, Maye Musk shares her insights on courage, independence and the power of staying true to yourself. "I never thought my story was important, but now it inspires women all over the world," says Maye Musk in the interview.

Maye Musk: Between career and raising children

Alexander Müller: Maye, it's an honor to have you here with us today. You've had an impressive career as a model and nutritionist. But what makes you even more impressive is the fact that you are also the mother of three extraordinarily successful children, including Elon Musk. How did you manage to have a successful career and raise your children?

Maye Musk: Thank you very much, Alexander. Well, it wasn't always easy, especially as a single mother. But I've always worked hard and was determined to be there for my children while at the same time maintaining my Career to continue. I was a dietician and a model, and although I had little money, I always made sure that my children had a good education and a healthy life. "It's important to stay independent and look after yourself, no matter what situation you're in."

Alexander Müller: In your book, you talked about the difficult times you experienced as a young mother when you fled an unhappy marriage with your three children. What helped you to stay strong in this situation?

Maye Musk: It was an incredibly difficult time, but I knew I had to leave to create a better life for my children. "If you're in a bad situation, be it a Relationship or at work, and you lose your self-confidence, you have to find the courage to leave." I never saw myself as a victim, but always as someone who had to be strong for her children. We had little, but we had each other, and that carried us through this time.

Alexander Müller: Your career as a model is impressive. It is particularly fascinating that you are still working on the catwalks of this world today, at over 70 years old. How is that possible?

Maye Musk: (laughs) Well, I'm surprised myself! I never thought I would still be so active in my late 60s. But today, thanks to social media, modeling has changed. "People today are looking for Authenticityand they want to see models who really live their lives." I love being in front of the camera and showing that age has no limits. I was recently on the cover of Sports Illustrated and have worked for major campaigns. It's never too late to live your dreams.

Alexander Müller: Your story inspires millions of people around the world. What advice would you give to women who want to find their own path and courageously pursue their dreams?

Maye Musk: The most important thing is to to remain faithful. "It's never too late to dream big and believe in yourself." No matter what challenges life brings, you have to stay strong, believe in yourself and never give up. I always say be brave, be independent and trust that life offers you many wonderful opportunities if you are prepared to seize them.
