Our 7 Chakras: How to live in full harmony with yourself

How are you doing right now? Do you feel like your life is flowing? Or do you feel blocked? To get a better feeling for yourself and your body, we would like to give you some facts about the topic Chakras on the way. Because one thing we can tell you in advance: If you are in harmony with yourself, then you will also be able to enjoy life with ease.

What does chakra mean?

"Chakra" is Sanskrit (ancient Indian), means something like "wheel" and is part of Hindu teachings. You can imagine the chakras like small energy wheels in your body, which are located along the spine in different places of the body and work from there in their energy pathways. The teaching of the chakras has an important meaning in Hinduism because they can be underactive as well as overactive or blocked - leading to an unbalanced mind. Just as in yoga, the goal is to bring body and mind and also the chakras into balance - for more quiet and inner peace.

What are the chakras?

First of all, it must be said that there are very many chakras. The scriptures talk about there being 72,000 nadis. Nadis are energy channels. On each energy channel there are different chakras. We would like to introduce you to the seven essential ones.

  • What areas of life does it affect? Sexuality, Creativity

3. solar plexus chakra (Manipura chakra, also known as solar plexus)

  • Colour: Yellow
  • Where does it sit? A hand width above the belly button
  • What areas of life does it affect? Self-confidence, courage, perseverance

4. heart chakra (anahata chakra)

  • Colour: Green
  • Where is it? In the middle at the level of the heart
  • What areas of life does it affect? Love, devotion, compassion

5. laryngeal chakra (Vishudda Chakra)

  • Colour: Sky blue
  • Where is it located? At the level of the larynx
  • What areas of life does it affect? Communication, self-expression

6th Brow Chakra - (Ajna Chakra, also known as the Third Eye)

  • Colour: Indigo blue to violet
  • Where is it? Between the eyes
  • What areas of life does it affect? Insight, clarity, opening to the soul

7. crown chakra (sahasrara chakra)

  • Color: dark purple or white
  • Where does it sit: On the crown of the head
  • What areas of life does it affect? Connection to the Spiritual and to the Higher Self, cosmic consciousness

Why are chakras often blocked?

Again and again we experience that one or more chakras in our body are blocked. It may show up in you as an imbalance. This can have many reasons, such as stress at work, problems in interpersonal relationships, fears or other strong emotions. We often feel tingly, sad, irritable, or just plain uncomfortable and don't know what's causing it. If you have an important meeting coming up in the next few days, for example, this tension may manifest itself in the form of back pain. You feel totally blocked.

Exercise: How can I open my chakra?

Check your thoughts and feelings! Let's stay with the example of the blocked back. You can trust yourself more in such situations and be sure that the back pain is not (only) from sports. There is an energetic pain making itself felt, knocking, as if to say, "Listen to me, I want to tell you and show you something!" We give you an exercise to do to open your blocked chakra again.

  1. Honestly ask yourself the question: what is giving me back pain right now? (Or a headache, why am I fed up?).
  2. Ask yourself: Where do I know this feeling from? Close your eyes and listen to yourself. Has there already been a similar situation in your life in which you have felt these feelings?
  3. Observe your thoughts and let go! Breathe in deeply through your nose. As if a straw is hanging from your back. Draw the air from your root chakra up through this imaginary straw into your crown chakra. Then blow the air out of your mouth with a firm push.

If you like, we have prepared an energetic inventory for you here. Perhaps you notice that some of your answers are particularly positive? This indicates that the energy flows better in these chakras than in the others. Do the chakra test and check your energy from head to toe. Feel free to close your eyes and let the answer to each question rise up in you. Feel free to write them down on a piece of paper.

Strengthen your third chakra - the abdominal power!

Hand on heart: how often are you in your head? How often do you find yourself worrying about so many things? And often totally unnecessarily... We would like to help you to better and better succeed in switching off your head and focusing on your belly. The third chakra, the subtle energy center in your abdomen, normally gives you Self-confidence and willpower.

However, when it's blocked, you feel insecure and anxious. Do you find it difficult to pursue your goals consistently? Are you easily unsettled or swayed from your path? Strengthen your third chakra and get your power back.

Chakra exercise

To strengthen your third chakra, we would like to give you some tips. This is how you get your power back:

  • On Youtube there are various Solar Plexus Chakra Meditations, also from Coach Laura Malina Seiler.
  • Carry gemstones that strengthen and balance the solar plexus chakra. Citrine or amber are super suitable.
  • Bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, lemon grass, chamomile and benzoin - these oils support your third chakra. You can vaporize one of these oils in a fragrance lamp or use a few drops as a bath additive.
  • Yellow foods such as corn, yellow lentils, chickpeas, fennel, lemons, ginger water, turmeric and pineapple contribute to a harmonious third chakra.

Bring your chakras back into balance!

Take a walk today to connect with nature. Stay in the quiet, indulge and enjoy. Pause several times. What can you see? Can you hear anything? Do you feel anything? Don't try to judge. Concentrate only on the perceptions of your body. When you wake up, you may find that paradise has always been within us and we never had to look for it outside. It is all there already. Close your eyes for a moment and wake up anew inside. See that which your eyes can never see, but only your heart can sense. Everything is connected. The universe is in you, just as you are in the universe. Everything is one!

Let your life shine!

You will see how quickly you become one with your vision when you are in the flow, not blocking yourself - both mentally and emotionally. Don't just look forward to a different (body) posture: You let your life shine! Don't deal with what is, but who you want to be. Within you are all solutions. Create a home for yourself that brings you closer to your desires and goals. Within you is the power and wisdom to create a life that is full of magical moments.
