Dieter Lange: How to realize yourself with playful ease

Reading time 4 minutes

Did you know that reaching a goal doesn't actually trigger joy, but simply relief? Dieter Lange explains in the interview: "The fear and tension are then gone and redemption occurs. But in the process, unfortunately, the playfulness is lost." According to the expert, life is about a triad: first, things are created. Then comes the climax, from which one must subsequently let go. This letting go is the third step.

Dieter Lange: "In the eastern Wisdom metaphorically speaking, it is quite important not to hang on to its fruits. Most people today are interested in having a Achieve goaland then shouting "I did it! But life is much more about the joy of the game itself. Because you can only play the game of life - you can't win it. We have to find our playful Lightness find again, because otherwise life is a single struggle and cramp."

Dieter Lange believes that setting goals and making concrete plans makes sense, because goals set actions in motion. However, he is also convinced that life "happens in a completely different way", beyond our plans. In the interview he explains: "Announcing to the universe what you want to create is important. But then you also have to be able to let go and stop planning. Because then something is created that you can't plan."

Dieter Lange about the Adventures of a lifetime

If you can imagine something, then it is already there energetically. This may not sound immediately understandable to everyone, but Dieter Lange is certain that space and time are great deceivers. He says, "When it's daytime here, it's nighttime in Australia. As an astronaut, you can see that it is always day and night at the same time. Even the tide is always out at the same time. You can create something internally, but you have to leave it to the universe to put the pieces of the mosaic together. It's about the confidence and primal trust that something will arrive. The great adventure of life, in my eyes, is feeling arrived."

Dieter Lange: "Have Basic trust in the universe"

From this follows the following life lesson: Enjoy every step you take on the way to your supposed goal. It is all right to make plans. But the decisive ingredients are given to you by the universe. Dieter Lange: "We call it coincidence because we believe in this doer attitude. But that makes us tense up. Ambition is a fatal quality. Instead we should focus on trust, that things will come. In concrete terms, this means: You should recognize and seize opportunities, but still be in the primal confidence that everything will fall into place."

How exactly do you manage that? How do you recognize the right balance between trust and action? Dieter Lange knows: "Opportunities will arise and then you have to recognize them. Life is actually all about missed and perceived opportunities. It's not necessarily about diligence or going the extra mile. Because for many, that feels like even more effort. Instead, you have to be awake and open. Mindfulness is not a method, but an inner attitude and mindset. Things will present themselves to you that you cannot plan. Doing without doing, that's the right attitude."

Dieter Lange's 30-day exercise

According to the expert, the secret to success in life is to create things without intention and playfully. But how do you find out in the next step that you are creating the right things? Or to put it another way: What makes us really happy and how do we recognize it? Dieter Lange explains first of all that material things will never satisfy us. He says, "No matter how much money you have - you will never be happier. Money is simply potential energy. All you can do is manage that energy intelligently."

If he has essential make decisions must, Dieter Lange is doing a 30-day exercise. Because he is firmly convinced that it is very unwise to make decisions based on emotions to make decisions. He explains: "Making decisions in euphoria is just as bad as making decisions in deep suffering. That's why I check off Decision A or Decision B three times a day - for 30 days. During those 30 days, you go through different phases. After that, it becomes apparent which decision is the right one. But you should never make decisions on a whim. The magic words are: Gut feeling and intuition."

Become really successful

No matter what you do in life, it will never be enough. Because when you reach your goal, you fall into a deep hole, according to Dieter Lange. He reveals, "That's why fulfilling a wish doesn't make you happy. In Buddhism they say: Whoever has goals, beware of achieving them. Or to put it another way: He who has all his Goals achieved has set them too low. Wishes, by the way, come from the head, but what life is really about comes from the heart."

What you have been given in this life, that is, your talents and strengths, you bring with you into this world. After that, you are imprinted by your parents and society. Dieter Lange: "This creates the ego, the "I", with which many people identify themselves. Most people describe themselves through their body, their possessions or other labels. But if you want to live true success, you have to leave your ego out of it. Because success is what follows when you follow your inner purpose.
